Post-Elitism is a little nickname I gave to that one behavior one adopts after realizing that being without owning is a waste of matter. For an example, if you argue with me that someone who owns a Loro Piana jacket might be rich because of how expensive and scarce the materials and handmade details on the jacket are, I'll first wonder what that person has done in their lifetime that led them to choose a Loro jacket when the market for the same model is way bigger than it currently seems. For someone who chooses Loro instead of Moncler or even Prada nowadays, it makes you wonder if that said person went to a boarding school and learned Loro offers better materials and treatment, or if they're trying to impress people around them. In short, while you're impressed that someone wears a million logos because they're cool, I'm rather focused on how that person's life could possibly impact my human experience. If you lack a positive and well estabilished cultural background, you'll only impress people who cannot translate societal cues, not the opposite. And it shows.
To give you an example, it is utterly useless and pointless to own a Givenchy or Goyard tote if the environment you're inserted into doesn't make your bag useful; same thing goes for the expensive pair of Brunello or Armani snickers you bought in hopes to be given flowers. At some point you'll start to realize there's way more to what the eye can see and this alone will make your heart miserably empty to the extent you will either enter a very depressive phase that you won't recover from or you'll just end up buying more outdated and overpriced junk in hopes to feel something again, without realizing that owning objects or capital alone doesn't solve the problem of ignorance you've inherited from your family members or close peers.
The whole world works on showing off status, Henri Levy's ERD has created a generation of people who think wearing a Gioventú Fascista hoodie blended with a lavishiously made belt will make you look stronger, tougher or perhaps even more culturally smart than others around you simply because their culture don't allow them to use self destruction and shame as a shield, while you can discuss about druggies, outcasts, human waste and mentally insane stuff like society somehow is obligated to know and be educated on such subjects.
But, while you've got so many people wanting to buy into narratives, you need to start looking around your mediums and maybe start to wonder why you've got so many people flashing so many signs, when they could at least say something about their putrid ideologies like a normal person. Perhaps, we live in times where objects are the only kind of reassurance we have to strengthen our pride and dressing in a certain way will either get you fatherless women or motherless young boys who didn't have enough parental control to grow up to their 25s without being a manchild or just a socially rejected waste. A 9K bag will make you look pretty and even respected at some mediums, but masks often fall and reveal your real you.
Post-Elitism exists as a way to separate human value from human knowledge, hence the fact so many people read the same books and end up having the very same opinion regardless of their different backgrounds. They know society has been made up to smash those who oppose something stronger than them so they rely entirely upon created narratives instead of living their own lives like normal people. Everyone is different and no one will admit it, but the perception of human interaction and success has been created by other people who knew how to play the game before you did.
